Scripted Clinic is open 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you need care outside these times, here is where to go. Every service on this page is independent of Scripted Clinic.
If it is an emergency
Call 000, or go to your nearest emergency department
Chest pain, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, a suspected stroke, a serious injury, or any situation where someone’s life may be at risk. Do not wait for a telehealth appointment.
If you are struggling to cope, or thinking about harming yourself, you can talk to someone right now. These lines are free, confidential and open 24 hours a day.
Call healthdirect and a registered nurse will talk through your symptoms and tell you where to go — whether that is home care, a pharmacy, a GP tomorrow, or an emergency department now.
Free, 24/7, anywhere in Australia. In Victoria the same service answers as NURSE-ON-CALL.
If you need to be seen at home
After-hours doctor home visit
13SICK National Home Doctor sends a doctor to your home after hours. Home visits are bulk billed for people with a Medicare or Gold DVA card. They do not visit every area, so check your suburb when you call.
13SICK is an independent service. Scripted Clinic has no involvement in the visit or the care provided.
Questions about medication
Your pharmacy, or the Poisons Information Centre
For a question about something you are already taking, your pharmacy is usually the fastest answer. If someone has taken too much of something, taken the wrong thing, or you are worried about a reaction, call the Poisons Information Centre — it is staffed around the clock.
